Women’s roles and contributions during the Prophetic era offer significant examples of women’s agency in the Islamic framework. This study examines the agency of women and their social contribution through four case studies: Zaynab bint Jahsh رضي الله عنها, Asma bint Abi Bakr رضي الله عنها, Khawla bint Tha‘labah رضي الله عنها, and Nusaybah bint Ka‘b رضي الله عنها. Explore how these women used their abilities, faith, personal circumstances, and responsibilities to contribute to their families and the wider Muslim community. It uses a historical and analytical approach based on relevant Qur’anic verses, Hadith, Seerah, historical accounts, and related literature. The study shows that these women contributed economically, through charitable work, family obligations, knowledge, courage, calls for justice, and social responsibility. Their experiences demonstrate that women’s personal development and social participation could exist alongside faith, moral responsibility, and Islamic principles. The study concludes that the lives of these Sahabiyat رضي الله عنهن offer examples of how women’s personal abilities and agency can lead to meaningful social contributions and constructive participation in contemporary muslim society.
