The Holy Qur’an is the final revealed Book of Allah and the primary source of guidance for humanity. Understanding its meanings and concepts is essential for the intellectual, moral, and practical development of Muslims. In Pakistan, the teaching of Tarjamat al-Qur’an al-Majid (Translation of the Holy Qur’an) has become an integral part of the educational curriculum. This study analytically examines the development, current status, and major challenges of teaching Tarjamat al-Qur’an at the intermediate level. It focuses on teachers’ academic and pedagogical competence, students’ Arabic language proficiency, teaching methodologies, instructional resources, curriculum implementation, and institutional factors. The study identifies key challenges, including inadequate teacher training, weak Arabic foundations, limited instructional time, examination-oriented teaching, insufficient teaching materials, limited use of modern educational resources, and inadequate institutional supervision. It also proposes practical solutions to improve the effectiveness of Qur’anic translation instruction. The study aims to contribute to enhancing Qur’anic understanding, intellectual development, and practical guidance among intermediate-level students.
