Research occupies a central position in Islamic intellectual tradition, where the pursuit of knowledge is regarded as both a religious obligation and a means of understanding divine guidance. The Qur'an repeatedly encourages reflection, observation, critical thinking, and the verification of information, while the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) emphasizes truthfulness, authenticity, and intellectual integrity. This study explores the Islamic foundations of research through a qualitative analysis of relevant Qur'anic verses and authentic Hadith. It examines the fundamental principles of evidence-based inquiry, objectivity, ethical responsibility, and the pursuit of beneficial knowledge. The paper further highlights the contribution of Islamic teachings to the development of a systematic research methodology that promotes justice, accuracy, and accountability. The findings demonstrate that Islam provides a comprehensive framework for scholarly investigation that integrates faith with reason and moral values with scientific inquiry. This study concludes that the Qur'an and Hadith continue to offer enduring principles for contemporary academic research and intellectual development.
